Corning, Inc. Corning, NY
Corning invests about $2.5 million per year to fund five local community child care centers that care for 450 children (about half are Corning employees with the remainder from the community all who pay on a sliding-fee scale based on income).
Micron Technology, Onandaga County, NY
In 2023, Micron purchased a parcel of land on Caughdenoy Road in Clay that will be developed to provide on-site child care for Micron employees. Micron pledged $500,000 to the YMCA of Central New York to help expand access to high-quality child care and early learning for underserved communities in the region.
Datadog, New York City, NY
Datadog offers employees FSA Dependent Care benefits. In addition, employees are eligible to receive up to $2,000 annually to assist with child care (up to age 5).
St. Peter's Health Partners, Albany NY
St. Peter's Health Partners operates a state licensed child care program (Mercy Cares For Kids) that is nationally accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Employees receive priority, however, the center is also open to the community (should space allow). Mercy Cares For Kids also participates in QUALITYstarsNY.
United Health Services (UHS), Johnson City, NY
UHS partners with Bright Horizons to operate a state licensed child care program for 82 children 6 weeks through 6 years old. UHS employees have priority, however, the center is also open to the community (should space allow). The center is pursuing NAEYC accreditation at this time.
Lourdes/Guthrie hospital system, Binghamton, NY
Ascension and Lourdes merged with Guthrie hospital system. Lourdes Child Care Center is a licensed child care program located on the Lourdes Hospital campus. The center provides care to children ages 6 weeks through 6 years of age.
